After an exhaustive search for the perfect handguard for my 458 Socom AR, I came across the Apex site. I was pleased to see that they had the dimension info required to ensure the appropriate fit on my custom barrel and Superlative piston kit. Once I received the hand guard I was even more pleased with the texture, fit and finish. The only thing on my wish list that they didn’t offer was cerekoting. Their service was also excellent. I first purchased the handguard then the next day realized that I needed a rail. I ordered the rail. It was a Sunday so I sent an email requesting that they bundle the parts together so that I received them at the same time. On Monday, I called, they answered promptly and told me that they received my email. They told me, my parts are on the way and they refunded part of my shipping cost. I don’t think I will ever buy a handguard from anywhere else. Customer for life. Great job!

I have used old school m16 style and modern quad rail styles handguards on rifles I have shot in the past. The M16 style is comfortable but has no grip at all and the quad rail digs in rather uncomfortably when doing certain drills. I spent months trying to decide what I wanted for my first build for my own rifle. I stumbled across this and the price was great it looked like it would have great grip but still be comfortable. Shipping was a couple days quicker than I anticipated the package arrived in good shape and the guard is comfortable to hold but still has plenty of grip. That being said I have not installed it because my build has barely begun. I bought this so early in my build because the sale price was great, and I would rather spend less and wait. I am very excited to complete the build an will update this when I actually get a chance to fire the weapon.

I've been searching for the perfect handguard. And for me, this is it. Out of all the ones I've tried, this is by far my favorite. Out of the box it looks great all by itself, but wait, there's more. It's also extremely adaptive to whatever the accessory junkie may throw at it. The GatorGrip has amazing feel wet or dry.

I had ordered a how are you? guard from another company and waited months for it to be fulfilled. Ended up canceling that order and ordering an Apex. Glad I did! Great communication and super fast delivery. Only disappointment was the small accessory rail does not mount in top position, but I should have called to inquire about that before ordering. Would order another!

One of the best hand guards out there. Great quality. Very easy to install and the feel if the gator grip is awesome. Its worth the price. I recommend the product.

I really like these handguards the are minimal yet totally effective. I would have given 5 stars but for the anodizing. My first purchase was perfect however this 2nd one had a Mauve color cast rather than a black or very dark charcoal. I contacted Apex & they explained that this is a inherent problem relating to alloy & prep. Once mounted it looked fine I was just surprised at the color variation. Fellow shooters like it too, I am always asked where I got that guard whenever I'm at the range. I plan to purchase my third in the near future. I only would wish they included the top rail as it is an expensive option,75.00 for the 15" guard.
